I'd love to do a meetup to see some of your rides but weekdays are impossible so maybe we can plan a meetup for a weekend date? I figure if we plan ahead the turnout will be better. What do you guys think?

Is anyone planning to go to the Cars & Coffee - Austin in Leander this coming Sunday? usually a good crowd and a diverse mix of cars. I've been going there every month with a group of fellow 370z owners. Took my BRZ last month -- trying to decide between taking the Z vs. the BRZ this month.

Well I finally got my car back this morning. A week almost to the hour. Apparently the whiteout is a pain in ass to repaint. Just glad to have my baby back. I have missed it.

The damage isn't terribly noticeable to the casual observer, but it's going to require a bit of metal work and respray of the fender. At least I got the weekend with the car before handing it right over to the body shop / insurance co.

There's a chance I'll get it back by the end of the week, at least.

The last time I had a car in the shop, they had to chop the entire front end off and rebuild from the ground up. Took about 4 months. Let's hope for something better than that.

Got my new toy home to Austin last night. Flew up to Boston to buy it and drove it home. Love the car, and it's already fully broken in!

Can anyone recommend a detailer/opti-coater?

Heh I didn't, I caught some little squals from the north side of Isaac. I got to Memphis then headed south along the blues highway, cut across the north part of Louisiana. Great drive though, wasn't sick of driving after an 8+ hour day, so that says a lot about the car!
