I ordered my knob August 2nd (3 weeks ago now). I still don't have it. I've emailed bossfloss at least once a week asking for status updates or any way to monitor the progress of the order. His last response to me was last week, saying that it would mail out Friday/Saturday (17-18th), but, I don't have it in my mail, nor any indication that it's even been made.

It's very frustrating getting such bad service and lack of communication. I kind of wish I had paid through paypal so I could have at least the option of filing a failure to deliver.

So I don't mean to threadjack but I was hoping to get some opinions. I think I've narrowed my design choices down to the following. So do I embrace my geeky side and go with this in black on the snowball:

or embrace the car history with this in some undecided color combo:

Thoughts?

I like the aperture logo. I actually picked the half-life lambda symbol as my engraving on the shorty black grip tape (going to fill it in with red to match the stitching instead of orange like the game).

I also considered the embellished triforce logo used in more recent zelda games.

Thanks for the feedback. Do you have a picture of the your shift knob? I'd love to see how that turned out.

If anyone's shopping for a knob like the "Elton" that bowling ball look, check out Ripps Knobs http://www.ripps70.com/Page_1.html he makes them custom order so he can sink a hat pin or your name inside the ball. Have my Jeep Knob from there, plan to order another for the BRZ...not purple tho...still working on the overall scheme.

He has until Saturday to send me a tracking number, otherwise I'm filing with paypal. I don't NEED a new knob, but thought that this GB and product would be worth it. I'd also like to point out he is severely past his "2 week" time-frame. It has been over 2 weeks with no e-mail saying that the production will be set back due to high demand. If he knew it was going to take a longer period of time, he should of said so. I'm sending another e-mail to check the progress, if it isn't shipped by tomorrow I'm canceling. This is poor form and a poor reflection on his business.

Supposed to get a tracking number. The guy has till 8 EST(5 PST:the latest closing time) until I file with paypal. I don't appreciate the lack of information in this entire process. Hell, I didn't know that a design I sent immediately after ordering wouldn't work. It took an e-mail sent by me for him to mention it. Personally I won't recommend his company anymore due to this process. I should have had the knob last week/this week. He said it was getting shipped today, so this is his last chance.

Times up, claim filed. I suggest that anyone looking to purchase a knob in a timely manner go elsewhere as the seller cannot live up to even his own estimated shipping times. You'd be better off purchasing a Blox knob and getting it engraved on your own time as it will be quicker and more than likely cheaper.

Just heard from them today, I was told it'd ship "next week". That's rediculous considering I was told it would ship out yesterday. I've asked for a concrete ship date, and if they cannot live up to another promised ship date, then I'll escalate it and demand my money back. I cannot recommend anyone do business with them as the lack of professionalism, including useage of buzzwords such as "steezy, "ish", e.t.c., has resulted in a poor experience.

Edit: Apparently it'll be NLT Wednesday. Just about 1 month from the initial order. If nothing comes from that time, I'll be seeking a full refund.

We'll see how the actual product turns out, but the customer service was terrible. If they can't deliver by their promised "next week" date, Wednesday at the latest, then I'll go somewhere else. I know the Blox knobs were an option I was considering.
