THESE ARE AVAILABLE at your local SCION dealers in the service department. I was looking at a couple of them. They come in red, black and silver. They are electric already assembled and complete with controller. Just a little under $200, but sell outside of the dealership for about $220.

Merr.. Must resist urge

If I got back into the scene, I'd have an $800 LiPo/Brushless setup and be doing 70mph in the parking lot.

You'd have the fastest 1/10 scale FR-S

I have two nitro savages I should fix up, but nitro is so damn unreliable... did you know HPi is coming out with a 1/8 scale GAS engine?

Had a gas powered RC but it got old keeping it up and running. The glow plug, priming etc was annoying. I got an electric so I could charge and go.

It looks like Tamiya makes one also. Where are our RC car guru's?
I'm curious which car is better (faster?)
The Tamiya:
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58529 <--- TT01E Kit MSRP: $198
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/ite...oduct-id=58530 <---- TA-06 Kit MSRP: $375

Or the HPI
http://www.scionracingstore.com/hpir...estormred.aspx
<--- $229
The Scion site says the HPI will do 20-25 MPH. Anyone have any idea on the Tamiya?
Also, I can't seem to find the HPI any place other than the Scion website.

electric motor is plenty powerful with zero response lag. the tires drift and slide like a dream. The adjustable suspension is fantastic as well. The only thing is its 4WD haha but love it

sorry for posting these photos in multiple threads. I'm still excited for the nice gift from Scion

Here is my old 1/10 electric touring car

Losi JRX-S with an early Novak brushless and Lipo that I setup for drifting after the LHS stopped racing every Sunday. This was the last body I did before it sat in my closet for the past couple years.

I think it may be time to pick up that Tamiya shell and paint it to match the Asphalt FR-S.
