Ring your Sales Consultant and have it confirmed

This morning I had the chance to speak with a representative of TMCA at the launch of Toyota's digital radio for Australian built cars and the AM/FM Radio Stations in Brisbane. He confirmed to me, the same as I was told by my Sales Consultant that the procedure is:

You order your car
Sales consultant gives you the Order Number
Order has gone direct to TMCA [Toyota Motor Company Aust]
TMCA update ALL orders to Japan 20th each month
Japan then preferences 'customer orders' over 'Dealer stock'
Japan then goes back to the OLDEST order and commences production

TMCA 'Order Tracking' is 1-2 weeks or more AHEAD of YOUR 'Order Tracking'

'Customer Order' means it shows with YOUR name whereas 'Dealer stock' will show as simply unsold stock for the Dealership

Hope this assists many wondering exactly what happens!!

i just spoke to TMCA and gave them my batch number. they got a "planned production date of November 12th"..... SIGH

i ordered 23rd june. was told by my dealer september production / oct delivery. clearly its pushed one month out with nothing set in concrete either

Ordered May 5. Ever since ordering it has never jumped out. Always September.

Raz u should try calling TMCA and giving them your batch number to see what it says in the TMCA system. It's more up to date apparantly.

i ordered 23rd june was given setp build oct delivery by the dealer and as of today TMCA have told me november 12th build date.

let us know what TMCA tell u

Edit: nevermind. called - told Nov production. Was initially told by dealer September delivery... Ordered apparently May/early June as it was a cancellation. Oh well, more time to save up!
