A 2 seater convertible would be more practical but a 2+2 is not a bad idea!

If it ever went down, as Jay mentioned, a hardtop would be a must/plus!

I know, I know. Targa ver is 90% done. Just freaking work gets in my way!!! Without joke, I've been home only to sleep. Rest of the time, I've been at work!!! Saturday, I "suppose" to have day off (so they claim), so hopefully I have time to work.

That second convertible option would be sweet. Personally, i'd just prefer a hard top.

I checked on the Subaru hatchbacks and they're like that. Look at the Impreza 5door for example: Go to pic#12/15 for a good sideview pic of the Impreza 5door. 7-15 are of the 5door.

Granted it does have more glass on the side, but the general shape is similar.

Sorry Allch chcar but I'm not feeling the hatchback as-is; there's just too much visual weight in the roof, plus the blind spot would be murderous.

I totally dig 'vert 2 aka Spyder, that's hot!

I'm +1 on wanting to see a targa!
You'll have to take your gripes up with Ichitaka. I didn't design anything.

I actually don't care for that style of hatchback but it's better than a coupe IMHO. Check out the CR-Z for a hatchback that I like, the kammback. Just ignore the front 3/4 when you look at it :P!

Geez Ichitaka, way to let the cat out of the bag . I was going to string them along until you finished! I remember you already mentioned a targa version . Thanks again for sharing your Photochops ! If you link the Targa, I'll put it up top, if it'll fit that is.

The 1st convertible isn't very popular I see.

Yeah the shape is fine. Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent chop, shape, and design of the FR-S into a hatchback. I just think hatchbacks like that are ugly (not to be confused with having the trunk function like a hatch back - I love that).

But the glass is what I was saying. Just extending the body to make it the shape of a hatch back makes it look misfitting. The glass should be extended too, especially for function (rear visibility), much like the images you sent me.

LOL @ the Hatch. The convertibles look nice though. The Coupe is sexy as shit. Loving that spoiler.

The more I look at it, the more I change my mind that I like convertible 1 better than how I originally liked convertible 2.

I really enjoyed my '95 Celica GT Convertible. That thing was fun, it just had no balls, and was an automatic. But the back seats were fun, especially with the roof open. What I'm saying is 2+2 convertibles are fun. Plus girls love riding in the back and having their hair blowing.

Also, the gap between the wheel and the seat on #2 is huge. Might as well use it for seats.

I don't like either of the convertibles. The first one looks odd to me, like it wouldn't have any real rear seat room -- like an SC430. And the second looks like an MR-S ... with an FR-S body kit.

The hatch just needs some work around the window area to kill the huge blind spot.

Updated!

Hey Ichitaka, could you put them on a lighter background? It makes it easier to see when you reduce it to avatar size .

If you Photochops gurus would post up some versions with at least some of the Scion primary paint colors I'd appreciate it too .

As for those thing, I'm out of touch. I can do same color editing/chopping, but when it comes to changing colors... I have no idea how to do it.
