they apparently have a side airbag option making them perfectly legal

looks like you sit a good bit lower than stock, which is what i need to get my knees to clear the steering wheel when covering the brake to eliminate knee rubbing. good stuff. i'm excited!!

Yer with the carbon fibre backing it looks amazing but its 6k for the pair... That's really hard to justify. Its definitely easier to reason with getting sportster without the cf backing but then, you don't have the same wow factor (not sure how the cf backing helps with weight reduction but it looks like its just there for looks)

I think a pair of sportsters come down to a total weight reduction of 10kg compared to the stock seats. Looks good and sheds weight

I'm yet to find out if they are completely 100% legal. If you want to be safe go for the recaro pole positions, they're FIA approved.

If these are legal and are considerably lower than stock (as I am 6'6") then I would consider when I get my 86. Can't justify the CF backing for the cost, but will investigate further closer to delivery

I will be able to confirm on Friday when mine show up. Mounting on the Planted brackets. So far the initial measurements that John at PRO-AM took show these should be equal or lower than stock in the lowest position.

These are still 20 lbs lighter than stock COMBINED ! (porkier than I hoped when I thought a full bucket seat would work).

Fingers crossed for Friday !

Myles

I really, really like these seats. I just can't justify the cost when the stock seats are already pretty darn nice. Thought about getting a Premium BRZ and saving the $2k over the Limited but then the seats are still over $1300 apiece plus the mounting brackets.
