I like them, but my opinion is pretty meaningless because I also think the sound system is terrific and the car has plenty of power.

They're not hub caps, but they look like them. I didn't say they were cheap, just that they look like it. Just my opinion. I like the rest of the car. Just never was a fan of those rims.

And every other performance car I know of has alloys. Not sure what performance car you're referring to with hub caps?

I didnt say performance but the gt86 track version to start. Well it just has stealies but ya. this tech isnt the sport version of this car. Camaro, challenger, and that ugly kia I just drove by parked in their dealer lots had hub caps. Not a 100% on the kia tho, but all had their base models with hubcaps im pretty sure.

Nah. A lot of 225's are made for 7 inch wide wheels. 235's are a little more rare but they're out there. 245's can only be used if the wheels are changed to 8 or 9 inches wide. Although you might start running into clearance problems.

looking at pics i thought they were just meh...on Argento in person though...mind changed...i like them at least well enough not to worry about buying new ones until everything else i want is acquired, and maybe not even then.

Edit: to be fair, i still have stock snowflakes on the front and Enkei Throwbacks on the rear of my S14 after a year and cant remember the last time they were actually cleaned.

They're not bad, annoying to clean, kinda heavy, 17" and too narrow for my personal taste :/

I think they're pretty cool. Especially on my Black BRZ. I'm not going to swap them out any time soon. One of my co-workers was like "Are those stock rims?!?" with that same expression and everything.

I think they are one of the worst looking stock wheels. However, most of that terrible-ness is due to the two tone. When they are painted all silver or all black, they look decent. However, they really need a bit more depth to them. They look quite flat. And the width, while bearable, is a tad narrow. The offset is also far too conservative. If they were 16lbs, I'd forgive all of this. But at 20lbs they won't be on my car long.

I think this might be it, though the design of the spokes is a little odd, kind of like the wheel design of the E39 M5 having spokes between spokes.

To be fair, I hated the wheels in pictures, but they didn't bother me that much when I saw them in person. If I had an FR-S/BRZ, I wouldn't dislike them enough to go out of my way to replace them (unless there were some ridiculous deal on some decent replacements), but I think it would be a really good idea if Toyota/Scion/Subaru go with a different wheel design, though obviously any STI-ish variant will likely have better wheels.
