Talked to my dealer and found out according to them that Subaru is doing a second round of BRZs. I put in an order last Friday for a possible November/December delivery date. Anyone else heard about it?

The guy said the order books opened last Wednesday or so.

They've been saying all along that after September, out-of-allocation cars will be delivered. Mine falls into that even though I was an April order.

Had an opportunity today to pick up a standard delivery DGM BRZ Premium from a local dealer (with homelink and the spoiler) in place of my order, but someone bought it before i could get there. ): oh well, I want the wingless look anyways... 4 more weeks, hopefully...

I wonder if all of these cars with an estimated delivery date of November and December are going to have all the idle dip issues and such worked out? Mine is slated for December as well.

It'll likely depend on whenever they get the TSB fix done. If your car is produced after the TSB is released, you should be in good shape to have that update included as a running change in production.

Cool, thanks for the info. Sorry for sounding a little ignorant, but what exactly is a TSB? What does it mean? I've heard that word being thrown around alot, and I understand that many people are getting these issues worked out because much of the cars had an early build date, but how do I know if my car was produced during the TSB? Is there a certain vin # that my car needs to end with? Thanks.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin

So for instance, if there's some widespread concern with a vehicle (e.g. NAV signal issues), the manufacturer will come up with a fix for it and make the procedures available to dealerships so they can perform it on customer's cars if need be.

Unfortunately, it'll be really hard to find out when the TSB is released unless you have access to the service manual systems either directly or know someone that works for Subaru or dealership. The hope is that with the November and December deliveries, all of the early concerns will have been resolved.
