Ouch. Sorry to hear what happened. Let me know if you want the name of the shop I just used to fix my car.

any recommendations would be appreciated. I'm gonna take it to the dealership first and see what they can do.

Hey guys, I live in Lake Charles, LA and I'm having a hard time finding a dealership with a FRS. Which Houston dealerships should I try? Any that I should avoid? Any kind of input would help out.

I'm pretty sure Ron Carter alvin has an asphalt MT on their lot right now. Ask for John Paul.

Had great experience with Joe Myers at 290 & Eldridge. Talk to Razek (rah-zik). They also have some of the best mechanics around! I have a '97 4Runner that has 349k on it and runs like a top. One of the guys there has done whatever I have needed (which isn't much) for the past 10 years on that vehicle.

I put down a deposit this Saturday at Gillman Southwest on a DGM MT BRZ Limited scheduled for delivery on September 26th. It was a dealer ordered car so they're telling me dealer installed options will be added once it arrives and I will be forced to buy the car as they make it, or pass....I'm pretty bummed about this and I hope it isn't a deal breaker. It's just irritating because the car will be delivered just as I want it and then modified in a way I have no control of before I can get to it (and an undetermined cost will be added). Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Don't let anyone force you to take or pay for anything you don't want!

By the time September rolls around the car will be even more common than it is now. Do not let them bully you. Blacklist them on the page here.

EDIT: Did you sign a non-refundable deposit paper? If you did and they are changing terms of the car that is a breach of contract and you can take them to court. Could be a nice chunk of change in return.
