Here is my question to those of you that have installed it: How much sound increase is there? Is there a growl on throttle at say, only 3,000 rpm? I'm telling myself I'm past the power stage in my life, and I really just want sound more than anything. There is my dilemma: This, which seems like possibly the best intake, or a filter on a stick for louder sound? I'm curious as to the sound difference between this and those.

When I get mine in this week I'll do a video comparison between the stock intake sound and the AIRAID intake. I'm curious as well. I have a friend that installed an AIRAID intake on his V8 Dodge Ram and he said the sound was WAY louder on his truck. I dunno if this one will be quite as loud, but I can hope and dream!

I installed mine tonight since it came in a day early.

Initial impressions - its nice a throaty but not obnoxious at WOT, throttle response is slightly improved. I feel a bit more power in the midrange, but that could be in my head.

Im just annoyed that I lost one of the tiny screws and washers that hold the top plate on

Pretty sure the Dodge Ram intake they have is open on top, and closed off by the hood, so you hear more of it than the one on our cars since its enclosed.

Have had mine installed a couple days now (again...wew been waiting since the proto-type came off)...there is an increase in growl, response, and pull.

Interesting...could we run our intakes with the top lid off or would that be bad? lol

You could...

Did you remove the snorkel? That would give you louder growl too, since it wouldn't be in the way, and would also increase flow.

I haven't gotten mine yet, but I dunno if I have the guts to rip back my bumper to remove the snorkel. If I want more sound I may just run it without the cover, I just don't wanna pull in hot engine air from the engine bay instead of inside of the bumper.
