Never got a cable in my glove box ..
Most JL Audio and Kicker amps have high pass filters built in to the unit. Another option if your head unit doesn't have RCA out. Saves you from buying a LOC ($180).

There are also companies that can modify your head unit to have RCA connections so you can run a cheaper amp if you want to. Cost again is usually $180.

Got my 4 channel line level converter for $35 from ryda car audio.. wired to speaker cable out.. then connected front sound stream speakers also purchased and used my Kenwood sub and amp from previous car.. amp is under front driver seat cos no one can ever sit behind me anyway.. 800W amp, 150peak 3way speakers and 500W peak sub.. sounds a lot more pleasant now
