Thanks for the side profile shot TBBandit.

Still debating on what shark fin I want to get. I think if this one was a bit smaller it would look perfect, but it just looks too big on our car.

I definitely think it looks a lot better than the Beat Sonic one, especially from the back.

Just curious, but y push so hard for us to tell them? Will they hook us up with a ft86 deal?

installed mine yesterday. i sort of winged it. i started very proper: measuring, positioning,
taping, worrying needlessly, blah blah.

Then i said screw it - removed the tape, played around with the position, did one last
tape measure across the width of the roof once the fin was positioned on top, and then
i pressed for about 30 seconds.

BAAAM !!

done. perfect radio reception.

this is my second mod after putting the 1011 exhaust tips on sunday.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but how have these VG shark fin antena's been doing for every after almost a year has past and you got some time to give a better opinion on quality and radio/nav reception.

I haven't had mine a year, but I was in the first group buy, I would say its close to 8 months now. It is still in perfect condition. The seal holding it on the car is strong. It has held up through winter weather, rain, and summer heat just fine. The paint has not faded and it looks like a natural extension of the car.

I have only listened to the radio twice since owning it! I always use my mp3 player, but the two times I used it the reception was fine. You might want to get someone else's opinion on that one though. My GPS uses a different antenna so it is not affected by the shark fin.

I have no regrets buying it.
