if you're not taking care of your car to the point that you're getting a minuscule pedal extension stuck underneath a mat that's a good 4 inches below it then i'd say you're probably the moron who has like 50 water bottles in your car and suddenly wonders why you can't depress ANY of the pedals only to find after a crash that you have 10 under your gas, brake and clutch pedals. IMHO if the mats are such a big deal and get in the way in a subaru engineered car then just take the dang things out. happy customer and god forbid you have to clean your footwells 1.5 as often...

sorry that was a bit of a rant. but honestly if any other market can deal why can't competent drivers here do the same.

when it comes down to it i'm almost surprised that toyota/subaru didn't say american's couldn't handle a car like the GT86! because we don't get half the good cars that are made, even Ford makes better Euro cars then they do domestics! point in case the old focus and Focus RS, Newer gen Integra Type-Rs, STI Spec Cs, Evo400s, all those gorgeous gems that americans would have loved to get .... and now i'm way off topic... i apologize
