Must be used ONLY for a car?
Either a REALLY pumped up, boosted hard top Z4 or a GT-R. I'd still be a bit short on the GT-R, so leaning towards the tuned Z4. And for my next fantasy: Ability to shoot laser beams from eyes. |

you guys are forgetting about the MASSIVE wait on the 86's, so that option is pretty much out for most people

Just to clear things up...
1) im in my early 20's, single and have a fairly secured future 2) i dont gamble 3) i already have an order on an 86 gts expected to be delivered late this year Over the weekend i test drove a renault megane Rs250 as well as a c250 coupe.... They both proved to be very impressive, however, Catcha gave some great advice... The verdict - i will be driving an 86...at least for the next year |

Ideally if someone just threw me $80k I would buy my 86, maybe an ae86 and a suzuki carry van and put the rest towards my block of land
![]() But seeing above that 996 turbos can be had for roughly 80k makes that very tempting as well.... |

$80k is quite a bit. I'm a daily driver type of guy, so I'd likely super tune my FRS, then buy something AWD as a backup.

Pay out my 86, and buy a Yeti to replace the Accord as a daily.
... yeah, yeah, I know. I'd use the leftover (some $25k) to reshell the S13, put big brakes under it and then use the last of it ($14k) to put together an Autech S15 bottom end, SR16VE N1 head and cams, have it all assembled and balanced with electric water pump, custom length 4-2-1 extractors and cat, superlight pulleys and custom multipack clutch, Ikeya Formula shifter and have it all built. I'd still end up in the hole by about $5k I reckon. EDIT; Probably end up down by ten, actually, but totally worth it. |

If you have the money sometimes it is not best to spend it... Investing and saving would be nice. I personally would like to get a new water heater and A/C unit instead of waiting for them to break, but we all have priorities and individual situations.
That being said I think many of us on the forums are coming from much higher priced cars. I personally had an A5 S-Line, A4, E92 M3, and have access to a DBS. There are also many members in the previous rides thread that have or had the M3, I saw a Lambo and Ferrari also. We all think this car is an amazingly fun car to drive even when compaired to such beasts. So that being said you would not regret your decision if you are compairing fun and handling but if you care about interior and out of the box speed you might want to keep looking elsewhere. You cannot upgrade a car to have spirit, however. |
