People's Reaction to Your New FR-S

I've had people on the freeway slow down to take a better look of my car. People on the streets stop and gawk at it. People ask me questions about it, such as "what kind of car is this?" and so forth.

I love driving the new, rare thing around town. People who don't know their cars are just amazed as to what I'm driving. Some people have even thought that I was driving something SUPER expensive, until I mention that it's "Scion" and then that just confuses them even more

Im actually amazed by the amount of people that have no idea what a Scion is.

I've had people ask what car it is, I reply Scion FR-S. Then they ask who makes it. And then others that say, "Scion? Thats the brand? Never heard of them..."

Everyday i get new people taking to me about my car. When i stop at a stoplight the people in the car next to me honk their horn to get my attention. When people crossing the crosswalk in front of my car they give me a thumbs up.

More passengers in cars staring as I/they drive by. Always funnier when it's a female passenger with a guy driving.

Had one guy in an Acura MDX drive up and slowly pass me, slowed back down, then gave me a solid thumbs up.

Also had a group of younger kids (age 10-13, it looked like) ride by on bikes and one kid said to the others, "WHOAH, that's the new Scion!"

I've had a couple people ask about it when I'm getting out, but I've had a lot of people honk at me while driving by. My wife will joke saying "hey look theres another guy trying to hit on you" lol!

Had two reaction this week.

Picking up my son from high school marching band practice one of his friends walked up with him all excited about the car. He said "Nice car! I have a picture of it as wallpaper on my phone! I took about a hundred pictures of it in the Kroger parking lot last week and was showing everyone."

At a convenience store on Sunday and as I parked I see this big 4x4 do a U-turn and come in at the light. Didn't think much about it but when I came out a man and his teenage son were looking at the car and asked me a bunch of questions about it. Apparently they had been to several dealers trying to see one but no one had one and mine was the first one they had seen in the wild. I gave them the grand tour. When they left the son was putting on the full court press to his Dad about how much they "needed one".

I get compliments everyday so far . Some people actually would pass by and go around the block and pull over and look at it lol. Even from little kids! They're like you have a cool car! Turns heads everyday always getting eclipses and acuras Tryna race me lol weird.

I have a big ego lol. The reactions in this thread give me hope. I have a 00 Celica currently and people stare, but the car's getting old. Gotta upgrade. In my Celica, I've had 1-2 people take pictures while I was driving in a neighborhood but in my 5 years driving the car, that's probably the coolest thing that's happened.

Anyway, my reaction to seeing my first FR-S (who we've decided was probably @post_break in Friendswood) was totally turning around in my seat to look at the car and was telling my girlfriend how that is the car I'm getting, and she was like, "ooh, how sexy."

When I get my car, I'm definitely making a point of waving at every FR-S I see, since that's what the Celica community does.

Earlier this evening as I was leaving Walmart, a guy flagged me down before I could pull off! He asked "what kind of car is that?" I replied FRS! I think he almost shit on himself as he exclaimed "that's the new FRS?" We spoke for a bit and I left before my icecream began to melt.

I was going through the drive through at McDonalds and one of the employees was outside, he stopped me and asked me a bunch of questions about my car. He even asked to feel the texture on my plastidipped stock wheels, haha.
