A Rolling Tour of DC...aka...my Commute
Thought I'd snap a few pics on my way to work...
Beautiful day in northern Virginia   Heading up I-95 North, you can just see the Marine Corp Museum on Quantico Marine Corp Base.... http://www.usmcmuseum.org/  Typical speed on those rare occassions when the traffic is light...  Approaching the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial...aka "The Kicking Tee" http://pentagonmemorial.org/  Pentagon off to the right...  Pentagon...  9/11 Memorial Highway...  Approaching the Arlington Memorial Bridge which leads right up to the Lincoln Memorial...  You can just see the top of the Washington Monument on the right side...  Lincoln Memorial...and a cop shooting radar...   One of many little bridges...  Saudi Arabian Embassy...  Entrance to the U.S. Naval Observatory up on the left...This is the official residence of the Vice President...  A few pics of the National Cathedral...I believe the scaffolding is there as a result of continued repairs due to the earthquake we had last summer...

Nice, i have lots of good memories of visiting DC. Can't imagine driving there on a regular basis though.

I've driven all these streets before, however DC never seems to be that traffic-free. What gives?
