UPDATE - The team at Castle Hill Performance just fitted a three-inch exhaust to this car and retuned it. This increased horsepower to 216kW at the wheels and made it sound a bit meatier. While the auditory improvement is a good thing, this proves that the standard system works pretty well.

So they managed 283 HP with the stock exhaust and stock header/cat?

Then they gained 6 hp by switching to a 3" exhaust post turbo?

That is way less gains I would have expected from going 2.25 --> 3"

Also can't help but notice how similar this design is too Don's AP kit. Its uncanny

It was only a catback I think. Not surprising that it matches Don's kit, there's not really anywhere else to mount the turbo or route piping while keeping the stock header.

The Aussies have done a stand out job, no secret squirrel stuff, just the facts and some great video work, possibly the best we have seen from anyone yet

I bet they wont be overly long finding out 0 - 100kmh times or quartermile times, a real breath of fresh air that the story is told well.

I see the air filter cant be seen in the engine bay either, so hopefully that is intaking nice cool air

The only nit pick I think I could see is the oil return pump for the turbo, it didnt look like a quality oil return pump but I could be wrong. The dedicated oil return electric pumps look a bit different to a fuel pump if you know what i mean ........

Pricing will be pretty reasonable too I would expect, I would expect if you wanted a kit tomorrow they can do it too, that the thing about fabrication and having an exhaust shop as part of your tuning outfit Go DALE

Dale is the man, has been now for quite a few years.

Going by the tiny gains of power for this awesome turbo system by increasing tail pipe size ....... you gotta wonder where the NA guys think they are with spending lots of coin on exhaust systems in the hope of more power.

As for the dyno figures, we cant compare the numbers with the USA dyno numbers but the percentages of GAIN will tell the story clearly both sides

Other thoughts are - you can do this kind of thing with EJ series motors too 8psi turbo ...... but while they tune up well and go well for a 6-8 months they can suddenly expire. Lets see how this FA handles the action over the short to medium term, the cylinder pressures are WAY up there if you look at BMEP - LOTS of BAR

This isnt the Olympic games but its looking like GOLD for Australia

Thanks, I did locate the thread but didnt got through every post to find out the story on the scavenge pump - way too many posts lol. Feel free to post it here, will be reassuring for those buying the system - which they surely WILL

Dale could have a boatload of these heading of to customers across the world in the next few weeks - USA probably has the most of these cars
