It's hard to claim the Civic SI HFP "Dominated" or "PWNED" the BRZ. It's only 0.1 second faster around the track.
Put the same tires on the BRZ, and retest. |

Repost...
The only section of the track the Si had the advantage was the straightaway section, which given its extra power doesn't come as a surprise. The other two sections the FR-S was still faster even on mediocre tires. Plus most importantly the hosts freely admit the 86 is the better driver's car and more fun. Plus if you are talking FF cars you might as well throw in the Mazdaspeed which would eat the Si alive while being more practical to boot. |

I do like hondas but a tenth of a second doesn't exactly equal DOMINATES, especially considering the upgraded suspension and tires on the civic. It is always nice to see comparison to other cars though to see how the twins are doing.

Maybe the original poster is Ricky Bobby? "If you're not first, you're last!"

I don't know about DOMINATES but it did give the BRZ a nice run. Ironically, back in days, the AE86 used to walk the Integra Type R.

Glad I actually watched it! On the same make model tires (Michelin Pilot SuperSports), BRZ will of course kick the living, um, daylights out of the Si HFP. But mainly, the last few seconds of the vid says it all.

BUT which would you rather drive, which is more fun? I would pick the BRZ. Saying the Civic dominated the BRZ is a huge exaggeration. Put comparable tires on the BRZ and it will shave at least a second off its lap time. The drivers even said so in this test. To prove it Road and Track did a test with an FR-S and it took off 2 seconds on its lap time with sticky summer rubber.
