I can admit Hyundai hav come a VEEERY long way. The genesis is impressive (the sedan is actually sooo much better still). I just wouldn't buy one, not because it's a Hyundai though. I don't like the styling and it's too heavy to my tastes. But if anyone here likes them a lot, by any means, look into it!

I can honestly say now after some thought, that I really didn't enjoy driving it. It had some nice get up and go with what more torque than my S. The only problem is for a "sports car" it's just too big. In the S, I feel like I'm snug in a cockpit and I'm "in touch" with the road and can feel what the road is telling me, as corny as that sounds. I feel like I'm in a true sports car. In the Genesis, it's so big that you don't feel that way, or at least I didn't. Everything felt so far away. The console felt like I had to lean up out of the seat to reach it. Also, I couldn't just move my wrist to shift as I can in my S. In retrospect, maybe I don't like it as much as I thought.

Hmm that's a tough call considering the FT-86 is still a couple years away, like others have said a lot can happen in 2 years. I would say that if you feel like your job/income/finances are safe (which I don't know whos really is these days) than go for the R-Spec for now and just sell it when and if the FT-86 comes out.. I'm sure the depreciation won't be that bad on it and the market for those cars in used form will be very strong...

So the FT is really 2 years out eh? I was hoping for it to be released as an '11 in '10.

Hey just got back test driving the genesis coupe white 2.0Turbo, it feels a little slow, the turbo lag is very noticeable and yes the weight is noticeable also. i asked the sales guy if this comes with a LSD he told me yes so i clutch kicked to go side ways but he lied no LSD, did get mad actually he liked it.
