Just saw it literally a few minutes ago on the West Coast. A quick 1 minute segment during commercial that was sponsored by Scion. Pretty cool I guess but was hoping it was actually a segment on the show.

I would give the show another shot if they replaced Adam. Can't stand him, so annoying. And unlike Jeremy Clarkson...Adam isn't even remotely funny.

Top gear us made it into a 3rd season, so it must have some interest and a fair amount of success with usings it's hosts.

Thought this was an interesting quote from the Jeremy:

UK host Jeremy Clarkson noted, "Top Gear is our baby so you can understand why Hammond, May and I were anxious about passing it on to the presenters of the US show. We needn’t have worried because Top Gear is clearly in safe hands, even if they do insist on speaking in those stupid accents. Watching an episode from series 1 with Richard and James, we found ourselves in a genuinely heated debate about which of the presenters’ cars was best. We were just three ordinary chaps watching a car show and loving it, which is exactly what TopGear should be. Bring on series 2."

I also don't know why Jeremy always say "series" instead on season. Uk thing?

Top Gear USA needs to have better hosts. I propose:

Carlos Lago – the Hammond equivalent
Chris Harris (although he's British, don't know if this could ever go through) – May equivalent
Brian Cooley (my god, this dude's hilarious) –*the Clarkson equivalent. He even dresses like him, lol.

In the event that Harris cannot join (which he probably won't) then Tanner can stay.

My $0.02.

I was disappointed. There was no FR-S content during the show, just a couple of ads for the car.

When they were going to have adam carolla as a host, that was when the show had potential.

Wasn't last night the police car episode? The FRS is in the small car episode airing next week. Or am I off?

I didn't see any FR-S related news... It was just police cars. The WHOLE EPISODE.

Adam Carolla was in the TG pilot that NBC did before they decided not to make the show. He may have been out of the budget for the History Channel.

My understanding was that they talked to him about it and had him on board in the start, but then the show was postponed so long that he got a contract on the damn car show or whatever they called it and couldnt leave that show to do the US Top Gear for contract reasons.

My issue with the show is mr mole face, as well as how hard they try to tell jokes. Just the personalities don't work for me. The show isnt horrible, but the personalities make a show like this work.
