That is simply incredible power gains for a factory car on a E85 tune. Any chance in the OEM software of swapping back and forth between E85 and 91/93?

Salivating at the thought of the 96 and 100 octane tune numbers. And yeah, can't wait to see the Stage 2 (intake & catback/headerback) tune numbers.

I think E85 gives you more power than 100 octane straight gasoline. FSAE makes you run a smaller restrictor on E85 vs 100 octane gas anyways.

I'm aware that E85 may make more power, but my point was, I am still stoked to see the 100 octane numbers because it seems that there are to be plenty of gains to be made, on 100 or even 96 octane!

My preference will be to run 96 or 100 because of my paranoia over the as-yet-unproven ill effects of E85 on the longevity of the FA20, but I'm sure I'll give corn juice a shot and see how it feels

Will our fuel system handle E85 or do we need to swap out the lines and pump in order to run it safely? I know E85 is corrosive to normal lines.

Sorry for my ignorance, but did the old subies hold e85 well? No clogged injectors or leaking lines?

Putting E-85 in recent Subarus doesn't appear to cause any ill effects, and I have put a little less than 30k on my old Impreza after running it on an E85/pump gas mix.

I don't recall the percentages off-hand but there was quite a bit of testing done by NASIOC members using the stock tune on the old NASIOC 2.5 RS subforum. I believe the mix was something on the order of 50/50, but I could be off. After running the corn/pump gas mix, I looked at the fuel lines and hardware when replacing the fuel filter during routine maintenance and didn't see any visible deterioration of anything. No clogging of the filter that I could see. Edit: Injectors were also fine. Also worth noting that the RS loved the E-85/93 mix on the stock tune with no reflash or anything else.

I had only about maybe 4k miles on the mix out of the 45k or so that I had on the RS, but during and after the time I put E85 in the car, I never saw any negative effects. I haven't ran E-85 on the BRZ yet, but 100 octane beats the piss out of CA 91.

And since Visconti has more seat time/tuning experience with the BRZ/FR-S than most anyone else I can think of, if he says E-85 is looking to be copasetic with the FA20, that's more than good enough for me.
