MKI-> Toyota (GT cruiser, premium interior, possibly turbo option) ~25-27K or with turbo ~28-30K

Subie rendering with the hood scoop -> Subaru (GT cruiser, possibly turbo standard) ~30-32K

This way they fill every niche.
I would be a happy camper if it panned out like this, regardless of the price difference!

Going to off on a tangent here, car manufacturers REALLY need to stop using Bose, they are the most overrated POS ever.

Back on topic, I agree with racinstylez that there doesn't seem to be a market for a Toyota, if there's going to be a Subaru...

No highs, No lows, must be Bose. LOL.

I have a friend in that works in the home theater install business. He calls it BLose.

Example of what marketing can do I suppose, kinda like apple. I see Bose ads everywhere, it's crazy.

I agree on both terms. I'm throwing an alpine system into mine ASAP.

But I would assume the subaru is higher quality, with more HP, hence a higher price tag.

Toyota can share Mark Levinson from Lexus.
Anyway, this is an interesting news. I hope it's the Z and Cayman fighter. Toyota missed out a lot of battles against Nissan and Porsche from the last decade.

Mark Levinson is pretty shitty too. I bought a 2001 Lexus LS430, and blew the sub driving off the lot. I dont even listen to music that loud

I think everything from factory is not as good as aftermarket for the same brand/model, but if you ask me, I prefer ML over Bose. ML in my dad's old LX470 was really good for a factory equipped.

Usually Scion doesn't use Bose, but rather stereos that look more after-market (even if they were installed stock).

Toyota's version of the FRS would be the 4-5 door version as previously rumoured. Similiar to the Porsche Panamera or the TESLA S and sticking with their family friendly vehicle theme.

Toyota FT-86 four-door sedan variant rumoured

If a recent report is correct, Toyota has green-lighted a sedan variant of the FT-86.

Hm... interesting rumor... actually no, actually it was lil bit upsetting for me. Specially this part

Eventually, the car could be outfitted with Subaru's 3.6-liter H6 engine and a hybridized Boxer powerplant.
3.6L H6 (EZ36) is POS! I'll admit it has nice tq at low end... but that's pretty much it. mid & high rpm it sucks! IF and IF they put 3L (EZ30) instead of 3.6 and all the new technology on it, then it's somewhat understandable.

Wouldn't this hypothetical 4 door make it a re-badged Legacy or Impreza with AWD delete?

There was a rumor like this a while back, but I can see this happening. I believe the FT-86 will be a platform Toyota will base a Lexus version, convertible, and sedan. I'm sure they won't come for some time, but it is rare that a company uses a platform for only one car in particular, usually it is shared with other models too.
