Their are MUCH better Nav units that what is on the BRZ stock. It is an awful interface, just completely shit; works well though...

The seats can be changed. I bet Clazzio will have something for the FR-S seat before too long.

I bet they will come out with a way to swap the A/C units before too long. Not worth the 5k minimum you would be losing from trade-in and taxes.

Push-button start and keyless entry are great but they have after market systems that do the same thing. Be patient and someone will have a DIY on it for the FR-S.

Not sure why anyone 'needs' heated seats.

If going from a base point then yes get the BRZ if you like the features, that is why I did it. If you are trading in a FR-S for it then no, just no.

Sorry you bought the wrong car

Go to an audio place, and have them to install nav.
Go to an upholstery place and have them install real leather + heated seats.
Push button start isn't all it's cracked up to be, but is cool.
Cover the knobs with leather too.

Money saved, problem solved.

OP is in Detroit...heated seats would be nice to have there. Then again, moving out of Detroit would be the best option...

Yeah - the way I look at it... would you rather trade it and lose $5K for a slightly better interior and a worse front end?

Or would you rather put that $5K towards a supercharger kit in 6-12 months?

It's an easy call for me.

Was it all stock? After some of the things I've seen done to these cars in the short period of time they've been out, in some cases 18k would be generous...

As most have said, not a smart move financially. I don't even think it's a good idea in general, the cars are near identical. If you want the other options, do the mods yourself (or pay somebody to). It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper that way.

The only way you'd make good money is private sale. With the availability and demand, you'd probably be able to about break even if you have THAT low miles. Even a $1-2k hit would be far less than the one from the dealers.

All in all, I wouldn't sell it just to buy the same car again with creature comforts. Yeah, I know they're nice, but it's not impossible to put them in afterwards. Unless you care about OEM, it'd be cheaper to get it done yourself anyways.

Dude, unless you have money to literally burn, I think this would be an epic fail. You are far better off just modding the FR-S.
You will be trading in one of the sexiest car faces for a mustachioed one!

Spend the cash making your car way nicer than the BRZ.

the tax thing isn't necesarily true depending on the state. some states only charge tax on the difference between the trade in and the new car.

either way, it's a stupid decision. Just keep that Scion.
