But you'll notice they have been getting less boxy. Compare the 1st xB to the 2nd gen xB. Regarding the FR-S, you're being really negative about something that hasn't been truly confirmed. This is all just speculation.

Anyways, I stand by my thoughts: While I love a lot of elements shown on the MKIII, I honestly believe the MKI was the closest thing to a production ready model. Imo, it just needed small tweeks to make it road worthy, but nothing drastic.

I'll just use the LFA's tail lights as a quick example. As you can see, they just tweeked it slightly so it could be a little more practical. Nothing major imo.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope the final production model of the FR-S isn't too squared off. Time will tell.

+1. All they need to do to change MKIII is to lower the front fenders down to the MKI's level. And the rear can stay the same with the removal of the obnoxious SCION light up logo. Lol

I'm also curious to see how much change they're going to make to the tail lights when they include the turn light/reverse and break lights. Lol

Also so far it seems like you are here purely to bash a car that doesnt exisit yet with speculation. Agurements like this car performs worse than a 370z when you dont know a damn offical spec about the car as well as perform worse in comparsion to what? 1/4? 0-60? Best bang for buck? If all rumours are true about the weight and the engine is excited to be modded I can easily use the 10K I would save buying a 370z and make the ft86 a faster car tho again this is speculation however at least I do know buying a FT86 over a 370z gives me some modding money to play with

not saying the whole car will be boxy. just the bumpers will be boxed out, i bet. It would be a treat if they kept the front bumper as is. But something tells me that won't be approved by federal regulations.

as far as performance speculation, I'm just going by the reasoning given by InsideLine-
It will have a 2L NA engine with feasibly no more than 200hp.
it will be an estimated 2800lbs. Based on these 2 figures, the power-weight ratio is less than the Z.

i'm not being negative; i want this car to succeed.
I'll be one of the first customers based on looks alone, assuming they make a very good looking car.
I'm just taking the other side for the sake of argument/speculation.

Good story bro!

Those numbers have been floated around here too, there's nothing to prove the power or weight figures. They're just guesses.

LOL again that 2012 tC concept was done by 5 Axis, so they over steroid it and raised so much hope to tC fans... but in general 2012 tC have 75~80% of chassis design remain from the concept.

right, fuse concept was even wilder, but can someone (you precisely) tone it down? just to get a glimpse of how it could be, because I know I would still love it

He may mean 'worst case scenario'. So softening, or de-emphasizing the lines maybe? Does that make sense?

Yeah that was what I was thinking. Most of those lines will have to go if you want a worse case scenario. I also think tone down the fender flares and enlarge the side view mirrors.

I think maybe if they are just not as deep or crisp would be realistic.
