I try heel toeing in my heavy steel toe work boots lol. Only reason is cuz that's when I drive my car most is heading to work, & needless to say its very difficult to heel toe in normal street driving & the. Length of my feet (which I think is normal, size 11) doesn't help. For some reason I guess I angle my feet too much & over shooting the gas pedal & hitting the center hump area. Maybe some race pedals would really help

OP I'd like to see your technique. Taking the term Heel toe literately is incorrect in modern day cars. If you are physically turning your foot sideways to "heel" "toe" then that's grossly inefficient. Foot placement is key.

A lot better than my EVO X but i would like a wider gas pedal.

This is what i bought for my Evo x since i found the pedals to far apart and worked like a charm.

Sorry, as I didn't have time to read the whole thread but...

I know on the US cars the gas pedal is a bit shorter, because of people getting them caught in the floor mats. You could always get order non USDM pedals for the car.

I disagree. Proper heel/toe can be used at any speed or driving. Key word; proper.

PEDALS
Footwork favors the J-spec model, primarily because the manual trans version comes with an extended throttle pedal for heel-toe driving. The US-spec Scion gets the shorter gas pedal, which we hear is due to Toyota’s sensitivity to Americans’ worries about the pedal getting hung up on the floor mat.

It can be, and it's good for practice, but it's not even half as useful or necessary on public roads.
