Mine looked like that last night after a quick rinse as well. I'm not really concerned because the condensation/foggy patch was on the exterior of the lens...(Which should be very normal) Can you confirm if this is inside (Not normal), or outside (Normal)?

I decided to take a look and see if I had a crack on the taillight assembly that is described in the TSB.
I saw no cracks, but I did notice the following... - The foam piece in the back of my taillight is only glued on the top. Not sure if that is normal or not, but I was able to drain the water in the back of my taillight assembly by lifting the bottom up like a flap (pic below). - There are circle shaped tears around all four of the bolts (pic below). Again, not sure if that is normal or not, but I didn't see this in the PDF of the TSB. - I was able to drain a lot of the water that was stuck in my taillight by just tilting the taillight in different directions. The two places that I noticed the water coming out of was from the turn signal and from two of the four circle tears (pic below). Water in taillights for over a week. ![]() Water sitting in the back of the taillight assembly ![]() Water on foam piece on back of taillight ![]() Closer pic of water in taillight ![]() Notice the rips where you screw in the nut. Looks like imprint of the nut b/c it was screwed on too tight.

I'm in range for this TSB. Not going to accept "waiting" for condensation to appear. That's absurd.

Don't have time to read through the entire thread but...
Brought my FR-S in for a leaky passenger side tail light 2 days ago. In Canada (or maybe just Ontario) the replacements are on backorder as clearly there are a number of units to be replaced. I think they said there was something like 19 on order. Might take a while so in the meantime people will admire my car and question the quality control when they see the water.

Damn, makes me wonder was Toyota/Subaru rushing to market? Seems like a lot of little stuff popping up making me think 2x about getting an FRS.

Called the dealer the next day, of course it had dried out by then. I didn't like the fact that the asked if I just read about the tsb on a forum or really had the issue. I said I took a pic, he claimed he has not seen the issue and its not as big as the forums probably make it out to be. I then reminded him that we live in Arizona and don't get as much rain as the other states. Gotta try and duplicate it now and bring it in.
