How is the fitment of the 8.5 up front? I'm considering 18x8.5 +44 up front but don't want any rubbing issues. And would you recommend the 235/35 over a 225/40?

Are you crazy ! lol
I cannot afford 3000$ for just a set of wheels + another 1000$ for the tires. I have a budget of about 2500$ to 3000$ to mods this car and that's it not a penny more than that. We all have a limit to respect somewhere. |

Regarding the tires dimensions, The 235/35 are 0.57% smaller in diameter than OEM. It is the closest perfect match to stock. Because of that I could have installed springs with a 1.4 inch drop instead of 1.0 inch but it will do the job. Just a tiny bit too much space between the fender and the tires to my personnal taste. I prefer the smaller tire profile of the 235/35. It look sportier and more agressive and the confort ride is still very acceptable. Not a huge difference in confort ride before and after, I'm impress. Also you are better to go with a 235 instead of 225 because the 225 tires on a 8.5 rims will be more stretched and will not sit right and flush to the rim. I dont like to see a big gap between the tire and the rim. The 225/40-18 is almost 2% bigger than OEM diameter. The ride will be a little bit more confortable and they will fill up the fender better because they are bigger. The tire will have a more straight touring sport look. I hope it will answer your questions. |

The FR-S looks good.
Love the Exige. It really is my idea of the ideal driver's car. The only problem with it is, at my size, an Exige would be tighter than a pair of pants. :P I tried climbing into an Elise with the top on. I banged my knee on the ROOF and decided to call it quits.

Update :
I ordered 2 x 3mm spacers for the back of my car. Right now, it look like the front wheels are more outside than the rear and this is not what we want. It has to be equal or the back more outside than the front. I will post new pictures when I will get my new 3mm spacers to show you the result FR-S alcoolic...

Usually it is better to stay within 3% difference. It also means your tires will have a higher profile than the 225/40-18. Your tire will look like an all season tire. |

Custom center cap for my Varrstoen Wheels ES221
I'm going to install custom center caps onto my wheels and I have found 4-5 different models very interesting.
Something is missing in the middle of the wheels and the varrstoen's caps are not the same color anyhow. A custom center cap will give a new contrast and a new personnality to the wheels. Let me know which one will look better onto my car. Here they are in my favorite order. Last edited by NoFear99; 08-11-2012 at 09:52 AM. |

Lose the OZ.
Any of the others are fine. I especially like the top large one. |

My biggest concern is if I should go with a black background or a carbonfiber background. http://3dcarstickers.com/en/auxpage_yourlogo/ |
