Thanks guys, just noticed it this morning when I was heading to work. No time to really search for it on here.
That kinda sucks. That light is standard on almost all vehicles.

Would you by chance take a picture with your door panel off? I'm trying to figure out where the wiring is connected. If its connected at the window switch or through the wire loom on into the cabin.

I'm not really that knowledgable about this stuff but curious if there is any chance the wiring or at least a connector in the door wiring exists so we can put in the socket and bulb ourselves.

it can be done. you need to order the parts from the BRZ limited then find a way to wire them and power them

The wiring harness would be cost prohibitive. I'm planning on using red LED lights with a bulb socket and just mount it behind the lens and run the wires to a power source that's powered while the door is open.

I could wire that in a pinch and it would "look" OEM.

However for anyone that does this, I have very exensive experience with LED lighting. You DO NOT put a red LED behind a red lens. It will be so faint you wont barely see it. Use white LED's. In fact I'd suggest where using white LED's anywhere, try and see if WARM WHITE is available. After some time the novelty of cold white bluish LEDs will wear off and we will remember why we dont have a blue tint on incandescent lamps.

I have access to LEDs for license plate, dome and trunk for now, that I can get pretty cheaply and they are amply bright if anyone in the GTA wants some. Trying to find a good source for turn signals. These are a unique design with all the SM LEDs and I need to see what works best. After some testing I might offer an inexpensive full conversion kit.

I wanted to do red bc I've been messing with the ameber colored LEDs that I had laying around and it still shines through amber/ red orange. I wanted it to be red behind more so for up coming traffic from behind. Even with white behind the lense it doesn't seem like it would be bright enough to light the ground up. I'll put in seperate puddle lights for that. I really only want to accomplish lighting it up even if its faint.
