I'm feeling more comfortable everyday when merging left. I feel the mirror now perfectly fills in the blind spot. I check the mirror and then do a slight head turn for a visual confirmation.

(Well, and SoCal's daily freeway traffic).

The speedometer on the left is useless. I'd much rather have an oil pressure or oil temperature gauge.

The horn, it's really really bad. I could see it on a little Fiat. You can't really hear it at highway speeds.

The noise generator is a joke. My friend just helped me remove it on mine and the car is much quieter without it. I don't need to hear the engine, that's what the exhaust is for. And next on the list.

The exhaust is quiet, boring, lifeless, and sounds nothing like any other car on the road. The exhaust tips we get here in the US market are terrible.

How do you remove the noise generator... and how much of a difference does it make?

Its fairly simple, but you'll need a few parts. Work your searching mojo, and you'll find the requirements. It makes it quieter in the cabin, and apparently you lose a couple hp.

I'm not a huge fan of the dark interior, but that's mainly because where I work there is no shaded parking, and I haven't gotten a chance to get a sun shield, so my interior is hotter than the surface of the sun at the end of the day; not the car's fault really I guess.

Other than that? I guess the placement of the cup holders, there just a tad too far back for my taste, but thats because my old car had the shifter on the wheel (automatic), so the cup holders were where the shifter is on my FR-S. But at this point I'm really splitting hairs; the only thing I was worried about, the trunk space, is a non issue once you accept that no one can fit in the back seat, and just use the back seat as an extension to the trunk.

It's MILES ahead of my last car, a 97 Mercury Sable.

Came up with these two items yesterday while out driving:

1. Blind spot, it is actually quite big, however, I can also handle it.
2. Auto start/stop - I wish the car had it. I hate wasting gas at idle when they should be thrusting me around a turn with a high slip angle and opposite lock.

I've decided the only think I hate is the way people box you in on the highway while trying to check out your car. It makes getting through traffic a pain unless you just drive like as ass. LOL

I forgot one major issue with the FRS. The bespoke touch screen head unit is absolutely useless when the sun hits it. I can't see anything on the screen. And at night it's blinding. Turning the screen off should have a physical button on the front of the unit, not 3 buttons deep to kill it. That's dangerous when driving.

Im sure its been posted, but I hate the seat material. I have a cat, and all the little cat hairs and dust stick to these things. Ugh, they look horrible! I have to vacum them every week almost! Can't decide if I hate the material, or the cat...

Hmm. Already have mine, so I'm not going to read through all twenty pages of this while I'm at work, but I will take the time to add my observations after about two weeks.

Cup holders are present but disappointing. Or maybe I just have to order larger drinks to make them fit into the holes more securely.

The analog speedometer is useless and a waste of space. It probably has to be present due to regulations, but I wish they had found a way to make it at all useful. At least there's the big digital speedo in the tach.

Power outlets - one in the back of the glove box, plus one way back in the center console, oriented to interfere with anything. I just want to plug in a good radar detector, which is still legal here in Texas, without string the power cord all the way through the middle of the cabin. This is probably the first real modification I will make to my car.

I wish the clutch had a little more feel, but maybe I've just done too much time away from a stick and my clutch-related superpowers have atrophied. At least it's not strictly digital and it's certainly not too heavy of a pedal.
