Well, I have a VIN. There was an ETA, but they just changed it back. Either there was a mix-up or they damaged it. The VIN is assigned when the car gets on the boat, so something's funky here.

Does anyone know what exactly "wait list" status means? i have an august eta but im quite positive it wont make it here this month. has anyone have their car show up without notice while in this status? I NEED BEACON OF HOPE!

Yep, I was "waitlist" for almost 4 months, and suddenly had a vague ETA of August. 1 - 2 weeks after the ETA update, my dealer sent my VIN with a more concrete ETA, and about 2 weeks after that my car was delivered! I don't think my status changed until it was "shipped truck" on the way here from Baltimore.

NEVERMIND! Just got a call from the dealer and the car is IN! Picking it up tonight at 630.

So the answer to my own question: 4 days after my status was changed to "at rail head" the car arrived at the dealership

Tell me about it! Mine is supposed to be here in 11 days and no VIN seems strange as well. Something ain't right. This is the screwyist experience I have ever had ordering and buying a vehicle!

I call SOA every other week. My 6/27 order says waitlist every time. Not that I'm surprised, but hey...just keeping ya'll in the loop.

So dealer called me with a VIN last week. I called SOA this morning and my car will arrive at port on Aug 27. They said around 14 days +/- to clear port. At least I have a more definite time line now. I hated being in limbo as I'm sure everyone else does.

That *is* pretty horrible. Makes me want to re-check my ETA. Feels irritating seeing several 86s on the road when I ordered mine the first weekend (3/3) and won't have it until the end of the month (hopefully!).

On the other hand, with the amount of time I hold on to my vehicles this waiting will amortize out to a small bump on the road.
