I don't know who you talked to, but you need to talk to someone else. I work at Longo as a tech, and did this TSB to my Fr-S. The process took me about a month from the time i ordered it to the completion of the install but the TSB does exist and has for over a month. If you decide to go back, ask for either Frank or JJ (both service writers/ASM's) as they have both dealt with this concern and will know what you're talking about.

The parts aren't on "backorder", but they ARE on manual allocation only and the tech working on the car has to open a "TAS Case" through Toyota (or atleast this was the hold up with my ECU).

What are the other bonus options this new ECU provides? And how do I tell the dealer to activate them?

What are the options. Very likely that they don't know the options and won't let me come back there with them to do the customization.

I had a new ecu installed today to fix the check engine light error p0019 cam sensor issue. If it also fixes the cell phone seat belt buzzer ill be happy as hell. I have a pic of the old ecu on the other thread. Old part number ends in 810 and the new one ends in 811. Thanks for the vin range as it may help the other guys getting the check engine light for cam & crankshaft position issue. Pic is the old ecu.

I'd like to check my ECU...where I *thought* it was has an ECU-looking thing that doesn't have either the old or new part number. Long story short, where's the ECU?? I'm pretty sure I have the old one but want to verify.

Unless the BRZ ECU is a totally different part.

Easiest way is to check your VIN. If the last 4 numbers of your VIN are 6034 or above you already have the new ECU.
