Funny you say that, because every time I mention fuel economy and gearing, the number 1 thing people whine about is passing power in 6th

That's what I say, but if you ever google "longer 6th gear for fuel economy" there will ALWAYS be about 50% of the people on any forum bitching about passing power in 6th gear, even people who drive Corvettes "The great thing about having tons of torque is not having to ever downshift" (uh, good sir, so why did you buy a manual transmission?)

Cool, cant wait to see it. I used the online estimator with stock weight + me(150lbs) and that's what it came up with.

I got 12.67 at 105 as a estimate using 285 hp.

Now you may be completely right but it would be more constructive to offer a reason why you think so along with such a statement.

I can come up with reasons. Stock 5.0 Mustang has the same peak power to weight ratio as the FR-S does with 285whp, who knows what differences lie under the curve, not likely to favor the FR-S. We also lack the torque comparison, even with the turbo. I guarantee you the 5.0 gets a better launch as well. They run 12.5's on a GOOD driver. I'll bank on 12.65 for the FR-S at 285whp/225wtq, considering the FR-S has a decent pair of tires and not the stock Prius tires. All of this with The Stig.
