That's my feeling as well but the interested party is thinking of building it as a vintage racer. I can only advise.
Only imports read in kilometres (analogue speedometers), as the car is left-hand drive possibly imported into the UK before it found its way over to your neck of the woods.

New football season starts on the 21st August, last year started to take an interest in Coventry City (before they jumped into the Premier league). To celebrate their promotion decided to drive over to home of City to buy an Away shirt... and bought 2 home shirts for my nephew and niece, hopefully it may ignite their interest in football and Cov City.. expensive trip...

There is a Facebook group called Toronto Car Spotting. This is not my photo but one that was just shared on this group’s page. I’ve seen and photographed several race and rally A110’s over the decades but I have not seen one in the wild like this.

Nice, the colour combo works really well. Were they ever sold new in America/Canada?

Yes, well sort of but not many. Like the R5 Turbo most say neither was ever sold new in Canada. However, there was some way around the law if you bought it in or imported through Quebec. I know I saw my first A110’s and R5 Turbos during their production years in the paddocks or parking lots of racetracks like Mosport. All had Quebec plates back then as I recall.

Well to be fair even when they were new, they weren't on the road long!

Simca's were French. They were sold in North America by Chrysler.

Might it be that you meant to say Skoda?
