Got the front clip and rocker panels PPF'd to combat Atlanta road construction and - well, Atlanta drivers.

Put in new taillights today!
I didn't realize how absolutely nasty it would be behind the taillights... Be honest everyone who has replaced taillights, did you actually clean all this shit off? Feels good to do the right thing.

There is no way in hell that I would not be able to clean that before reassembly. I am also the guy that has to make sure that the cowl is free from leaves and debris before I close the hood lol

Always! Just need some elbow grease to get rid of all that.
@DarkPira7e Hope you got a taillight gasket to seal from condensation and dust particles.

What taillights did you install? That must be adhesive left over from your last install.

It's all buildup around the previous well-working gaskets! The taillights were OE and never toughed until now. The car has spent its fair share of time outside. The passenger side gasket was right on the stinky edge of being breached through. Maybe later today I'll take photos of the previous gaskets, as they were ok on the driver's side but passenger side was dry rotting.

I installed some fake Valenti taillights (but somehow they have the Valenti embossing on the housing?)

I installed sequential Valentis almost 10 years ago. They may also be fake or gray market. I did not use any adhesive with the gaskets. They are still working and no water leaks. Car is garaged. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...ostcount=14617

Few odds and ends this week. Installed gen2 V2 under panels, stoptech BBK, and rebuilt the passenger parking brake assembly.

How do you like the stop tech kit? What have you noticed so far? What pads?

Kit has been great so far, they shipped with a set of used stoptech sport pads. I ordered a set of endless MX72+ from Japan(Made to order ETA 2 months from submittal). That kit uses a 993 911 Carrera pad which gives some decent options.

Had the car on track at Calabogie east stadium track on Sunday. pedal felt great even with the stoptech pads. Once I got them hot enough on the first session and let the brakes cool they felt even better second session out.

Going to put the link to my second session on my build thread.

You mean you don't like the idea of your leaf blower enjoying a moist breeze when you're at 7500rpm?
