Rain will mess up the driver’s parade too. Caterham are suppling all the cars for the drivers to lap the track in. Those cars will be done up in the team colours and sponsor’s logos. Ten of which will be up for sale after the race.
Caterham also unveiled a new “Miami” limited edition model earlier.

The all Caterham driver’s parade was canceled due to the weather. I have not discovered what they are going to do now with the cars. The driver’s parade was part of Caterham’s big push to reintroduce the brand to US buyers who may not know of them. Caterham started earlier this year by announcing a new strategic way to buy a car in the US. Hopefully this will also help in licensing new cars in more states. Going forward the engines will be supplied by a third party located in the US.
Caterham are also in talks to enlarge the one make series that is being very successful in the PNW. Hence the cars in the drivers parade that were to be sold in the US were track oriented cars, not street legal. Maybe they will warehouse these cars for use in one of the last two US rounds in October or November. OR… Maybe just perhaps they’ll ship them up to be used at the Montreal race.

I can see that happening, any snow tire available for the F1 weekend for them,
Does Pirelli have some for the F1 cars just in case? Im not looking forwards to the cool weather we will have. That would make a great suport race instead of the same Ferrari & Porsche we get to see ... |

My walkabout last Friday totalled 15k , I realize im getting too old for carrying around my daily necessities + the heavy camera shit I think I need.
I might be checking out closer hairpin stands for next year. I slept a good 10 hr strait to recoup. But still sore all over . Had a good gang(5) of F1 keeners with me, even one from Calgary who scheduled a visit to his local and aging Mom to secure his second F1 presence. At 22$ Cdn for beer we stayed sober this time. We were stopped by security at the support pits as Some Montoya dude was doing his press thing for the F2 support race. After 30 minutes waiting and the pit aria emptying we aborted our annual support race pit walk. Some Picts: Bottas ![]() Charles ![]() Kimi ![]() George ![]() Lewis ![]() Oscar ![]() Lando ![]() Max ![]() I feel for the NASCAR fans, RIP Kyle Bush |
