[Problem Solved]OFT Manager problem - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

anybody having this issue?

I am 2013 BRZ original owner and have OFT v1 (original owner)
i recently try to update my tablet because i havent used it for long time
after updating it to 1.71, i try to upload tunes and it gives me "The Checksum of file stg-2-plus-v4.03-LC-FSS-ZA1JA00C is wrong" and it wont upload anything

- tried disabling all window defender and virus program
- tried reinstalling after uninstall
- tried 3 other computers and same.
- connected it to car and read/write are greyed out and can't get into it
- car starts and operates without problem with current tune on it

I already sent e-mail to Open Tablet but havent heard anything yet
i am just wondering having this issue to other people

he replied on FB only saying The checksum of file is correct is normal message. of course i already know!!

at least latest tune is in my car but can't flash back to stock at all because tablet is not working

yes. never had a single problem. after updating it to 17.1 from open manager when you connect tablet to computer, it's like this. I shdoun't updated it to latest one. OFT should have options like update or not update.

still no response to my e-mail and it's almost a month
hope they do something about it

Back in the day (10 years ago or something like that) there was a bug when you waited too long with updates it would erase your tablet back to factory settings. Later 'updates' could brick your old OFT.
Guess those bugs still aren't fixed.

I also have an OFT v1, never been updated since they discovered that bug.
If you don't want to update your OFT, just disconnect the internet.

Does it still let me connect without internet? and let me load tune?
i think OFT people needs to fix this..unbelievable

i found this page and i was able to upload tunes in tablet after installing attached file in webpage

I will connect to car and see how it goes

ok i connected the car and was able to see all tunes in my OFT tablet. uploaded most updated one without problem and car starts as it should be with new tune. i am glad i figured it out and there is still not a single response from OFT ticket i submitted. I guess OFT is really dead to support people anymore. I am not hooking my OFT to most updated OFT manager anymore unless i really have to. hope this helps people still owns the car and OFT
