Jackson racing shrouded oil cooler installed. Shroud was in raw aluminum finish, primed and painted it my self. Only did a 20 minute drive to get everything hot to check for leaks, but oil temps were barely able to crack 190f in cool 17c night air. Temps were actually dropping cruising at 120kmh lol.. I will probably switch back to 0w20 if temps remain sub 200 on the street.
Added some rubber moulding near the headlights to soften sharp edges wrapped the cooler lines in a abrasion resistant sleeve. |

Reinstalled the OEM license plate bracket whuch conveniently sits directly infront of the shroud for the oil cooler. This did exactly what I was hoping for and brought oil temps up to 195-212f range driving around. Four screws and it comes off when I go to the track.

Great to know about blocking it off. Seems easy enough

Made some time to get in a two hour lapping night the other day. Mounted 245/40 Nankang CRS a couple weeks back to replace RS4. Car handled great, and oil temps peaked at 220F and ran the car for 35 minutes straight, then another 25 then 15-20 with short breaks between.

Pulled my dashcam footage and clipped a bunch together.
About time I invest in a proper lap timer, rough clipping has one of decent clean laps around a 1:24.3 with track a bit slower since NASCAR Canada race event 2 weeks prior. A friend of mine with a fast NC Miata who was there ran a 1:24.8 but typically runs high 1:21.x. |

Another lapping night at bogie, track was super busy. PD'd 2.29.6 with the one good clean lap chasing a Turbo NB Miata on old RS4s. T
Car ran great.. tires are pretty beat up after 4 sessions around 20 minutes each. Can't wait for CMP to resurface the track. Last edited by RToyo86; 09-08-2025 at 08:06 AM. |

Had a set of Konig hyperspec installed in 17x9 +40 Anthracite finish. Remounted Conti ecs02.
The plan is to swap between these for street use and keep my CSF1s for track duty. Quite happy with them, I will say pictures don't do them Justice, need to see them in person. ![]() ![]()

Spring update, odometer ticked over 200,000km the other week. That means... maintenance! Yay..
Replaced both front hubs couple months back, did a rotor pad swap for summer setup, ordered OEM front LCA and new hardware, I've got new plugs to go in when weather cooperates. Likely picking up low mile 17+ coils to swap in with them. Did a spring detail yesterday. PFA ![]() ![]() ![]()
