Picked up this little fella so I can get cheap trigger time. Around 800rnds through it the past couple weeks. So far so good. Trigger is really nice. Runs pretty well, just standard 22 issues. So good practice for clearing issues too
![]() Also shot a ported P10C today. Me like.

Debating to get a semi-auto or pump shotgun. Gonna be using it for fun shooting and possible home defense.
Pump, looking at Mossberg 590S (so can run mini/short shells). Semi-auto, looking at Mossberg 990 SPX (Class 3) or Beretta A300 UP. |

And RXM update. Currently rocking a ported barrel and appropriate slide... good lord does this shoot flat as piss. Not only is the red dot not leaving the window, it's not moving on the target. O.O

As far as shotguns, I have 3 18" barrel pumps located throughout the house. I don't even know what brand. Got them at Bi-mart.
I also have a Winchester 1897, a Browning auto 5, my good ol' 870, and one other antique I don't shoot. But the best waterfowl and upland game bird gun is my Benelli Super Black Eagle. Italians make the best shotguns, and carburetors. |

My Father had an amazing touch with a shotgun, particularly in Turkey Shoot* contests. I went with him each year to multiple ones in my youth. I honestly don't remember him ever losing more than one or two rounds out of the 10 to 20 he would do in a "season". Most times he used the house gun which made it even more amazing. We had turkey about once a month during the year from his wins.
*For the uninitiated and because there were several types, the Turkey Shoots in my neck of the woods in NC usually happened from a week before Thanksgiving to about a week before Christmas on Friday/Saturday night. You'd pay a fee and be in a group of 5 to 10 shooters. Each would shoot with a shotgun with a standard 9 shoot shell at about 35-40 yards. You could bring your own gun or use the house gun. Winner with a shot closest to the X wins the turkey. The turkey was often a grocery coupon good for a turkey at the local A&P, but was sometimes given out on site from a freezer.
