We're calling this stuff "sleetcrete". It started as snow, then changed to sleet, and ended with freezing rain. By the time it stopped coming down, we had a 2-3" layer of ice on top of snow. Now, it's had a couple of days for the top layer to partially thaw and refreeze. It's a PITA to move. Supposed to be in the 40's(f) next week. I might actually get the car moved then.

We had about 4hrs snow in total so far.... lots of threats of the white stuff but nothing much to talk about. Kinda glad as tiny bit of snow fucks up our public transport..

Dread to think what 'sleetcrete' would do...

My entire yard is a skating rink. A sloped, undulating skating rink. Both extremely fun and terrifying.

I saw the sleet coming down just after the snow, and had the good sense to shovel my 300' driveway before it solidified. That meant I only had a 1" thick layer of ice to deal with later.

We have had the warmest winter ever here in Treasure Valley Idaho. We haven't even got the snow shovel out of the barn yet this year. We haven't had any measurable precipitation since Thanksgiving. We have temps of almost 50°f everyday. Strange year.

Speaking of snow... I thought this was interesting. If I had a 6,000sqft drive like Tom of State of Charge has, I would definitely consider this.

Yeah, but the most assured way of not ever needing a snowblower is to get a snow blower. I should just ask my neighbor to get my driveway with his tractor next time.

Also, I have the same mailbox and post as that guy lol.

Same here. The high mountain lakes I like to hike into and fish usually aren’t reachable till March. The path has been clear all year.

By the way, if you didn't watch the whole video, this also has an attachment that will mow your lawn.
