I don't know if you've figured it out already but since you have a BRZ head unit, it'll have the Subaru USB header on the back of the unit. you would need to purchase two separate adapters:
Toyota USB adapter: https://www.amazon.ca/Goliton%C2%AE-...70_&dpSrc=srch Subaru USB adapter: https://www.amazon.ca/FEELDO-Adapter...aru+usb+female You would basically have to cut both of these adapters and attach them together so you'd end up with the Subaru header on one side and the Toyota header on the other side. Wiring should be basic as it most likely follows the USB wiring standard which consists of four wires: Black - ground Red - +5V Vcc Green - USB data + White - USB data - The Toyota side would plug into the harness that leads to the USB port, and the Subaru side would plug into the back of the unit.

I actually haven't yet tried to use that special OEM Subaru cable that I ordered. I'm pathetic.
Anyway, I can try it soon, I just need to figure out the easiest way to pop out that little usb/aux input thing.

@Clipdat I know it’s been awhile but would your solution shown below work for installing a factory 2018 BRZ Carplay radio into a completely stock FRS?
