Just bought my first BRZ. I did have a Miata about 4 years ago but wanted more room inside and i do not need an open top. I am 76. I got the auto because I probably will not be going a lot faster in the next few years. The Miata was manual and I did like lt, just looking a little further down the road.

45 here, been driving gen1 since year one. Huge upside for being old and tuning this car is that I did CALL -151 assembly language stuff as a kid, so working with our ECU is weirdly nostalgic.

45? You still are a kid.
I'm 70 but I didn't start driving until I was 15. How could you even reach the petals when you were only one year old?

In don't know about reaching the pedals at 1 year old, but at 5 years old, I would stand down on the clutch pedal, which was off to the left. The throttle was on the steering column. Stand down to the right for the brake.

Piece of cake -

We have (2) Scion FR-S's, I'm 62 and my wife is 64. Have owned Toyota vehicles ever since we were teenagers, mostly GTS Celica's. Getting a bit harder to get in and out of these little sports cars,......but just can't seem to see ourselves changing over to a four door mid size car just yet,...... might happen in the future, and if so likely change to a Camry XSE when the time comes

I'll be 72 in January and the wife is two years younger. You think getting into and out of a twin is fun try the fun mobile we gave up our BRZ tS for.

Back in 2020-21 I had arthritic knee issues and could not walk without crutches for quite a few months.
When I could not get out of the BRZ I elected to go “around the block one more time” It eased the pain somewhat.

Never give up the fun part of life!

At 65 when I gave up the FRS after 12 glorious years, I still had no problem getting in and out of it. I called it my "daily stretching program".

I will say though I have completely adapted to the "comfy life" with my Cadillac. I don't think I could go back to the ride (and mostly the noise) of an FRS. I've noticed a significant improvement in my tinnitus since switching to a quite car.

I'm 62 and have about 20 lbs I could lose, and getting in and out of the twin is easy. Now the Lotus Exige is getting very difficult.

I just turned 70. Getting in and out of my FRS is a 5-8 second process with occasional groans thrown in for effect.

67 here,,, and I do own an FRS but it hasn't run in some time, I'm working on world's longest (time wise)swap. I did upgrade to a C8 as my DD a couple of years back. It if by far the worst car to get into. I do it old man style, lower my butt in and then swing my legs in. For some reason getting out is easier.

82 here, be 83 next month.

I still drive my 2013 FRS, when I can get into it -

However, I do run into challenging situations. About a week ago, I drove myself down to the hospital medical center for one of my many appointments. The parking lot is very large and usually almost full.

I found a spot with an open spot next to it, so I slid into it leaving most of the room on the open side (drivers side). When I came back from my appointment, some jerk had parked real close to my car -

I managed to get the door open and slid my butt down and in. So far so good, however my legs would not go in. I couldn't get back out -

I rolled down my window and took my shoes off and finally pulled my legs in!

That was a close call -
