And the new owner didn't want them? Who wouldn't want an extra set?

Well, he didn't want to pay the shipping for them I guess.

Oregon is too. They technically are not supposed to pull you over here anymore solely for minor equipment violations. They just get tacked on if you get stopped for something else.

Yea, I never had front plates in CA either, and they are a two plate state. My wife got pulled over once in our Isuzu Rodeo and the cop gave her a fix-it ticket, then I just had my brother (a cop) sign it off for me.

Hate to keep making this about my job search.

But I had an initial phone interview today with a company called Centuria, they do a bunch of contracting work for the feds. Specifically a lot of NOAA and NWS.

This would be supporting the NWS, the pay scale is a little lower than I was hoping for with my level of experience. But it seems like it would be a very interesting, challenging job.

Commute would not be great for what I've been used to almost the last decade. But if I could get a job that I'm actually interested in and care about, vs just what's in my bank account after taxes would be worth a lower salary.

They submitted me to the program manager today, so hopefully I'll here if the want to interview me next week. Then a "Public Trust" background check.

Being an Okie, born here, grew up here, graduated from college here, it would be an absolutely awesome opportunity.

I have found that those things are most important. If you are good at that job, the salary will follow -

Good luck!

Let me guess, you've been retired for a while . Things are a bit different now.

Thanks! It would be supporting the NEXRAD program for the National Weather Service.

As I'm sure you already know, we are right in the heart of tornado alley.

But the running joke for Okies is, when you hear the sirens go off we don't go to our hidey holes, we go outside to see if we can see it.
