Haven't had frog legs in forever. My Grandfather, Uncle and I used to go gigging all the time when I was a kid and stayed on their farm for the summer.

My Grandmother and I used to also bait the ponds on their dairy farm (which were the water supply for the cattle) to catch Alligator Snapping Turtles. It was an old wives tale at the time that they would attack cattle. Largest one we caught wayed about 150lbs. We typically relocated them to a river nearby but on occasion she would make turtle soup (not exactly a favorite of mine). They are endangered and protected now in KY.

Ugly SOBs.

I packaged up the short ribs for the freezer. Two giant racks. I've had short ribs before, but never bought them. Impulse buy. It was like $5. And this pack is from the chef store, formerly Cash & Carry, so they need trimming. Look at the photos; there is quite a bit of meat over the membrane. Should I cut it off to remove the membrane, and do something else with it?

Anyway, made the longest food saver bags I have ever made and just froze each slab whole.

OMG Becky, those frog legs were delicious!

And they don't taste like chicken. They taste like frog.

Personally I would try to filet it off and remove the membrane (you definitely want to do that). If it's big enough chunks you can always grill it, or save it for stew.

@Tcoat would love this, especially with mashed potatoes and gravy. Top sirloin ball tip roast. And it's sexy.
