A customer of ours has owned a lyriq for a while now as a second vehicle to his escalade. He's extremely content with it and counts it as one of his smarter purchases . Interesting to me how it kinda flies under the radar yet in person exudes real quality and luxury.

No self driving here although you can trim it for hands-free.

I love mine. I have the AWD Sport version.

It's fast, handles relatively well (it's no twin mind you in the handling department), and as quiet as my home office (the quietest spot in our house except when someone flushes a toilet).

I bought it because I liked it as a vehicle, not because it was an EV. It's the closest thing you can get to a domestic luxury station wagon.

Now that I've had it for a while, I also love the EV portion. It has great range, charges quickly and is always at full (well 80%) whenever I get in it at home.

In the trip I mentioned above (about 1,400 round trip) I had to stop twice to charge (about every 275 miles) after starting at a 100% charge at the beginning of the trip, and at both stops it charged in about 30 minutes. I timed it so both stops were meal stops so the car was ready before I was in all four cases (out and back).

I'm waiting for the fully automatic, voice actuated, back up feature.

"car.... back out of that parking space and point yourself in the direction I want to go".

No. It works fine with sunglasses, and a hat. SC uses infrared light to monitor your eyes, and nearly all sunglasses do not block infrared. Some metallic coatings can cause issues I understand, but I've never had an issue with a variety of sunglasses.

My car will do that, well except for the voice activated part.

One thing I don't like about my new truck is no CD player. I guess they've gone the way of 8 tracks and cassettes.

It seems like one of those products that works really well yet doesn't get the fan boy attention from the vegan sanctuary city crowd. Good for everyone else
Maybe the Cadillac name doesn't have the "sustainable " vibe? Lol

The LYRIQ did have some hit or miss software problems when it first came out, and GM was having issues with OTA updates to correct but for the most part its a very solid platform now. GM in general now is in second place with EV sales in the US. They sold over 66,000 EVs in Q3 of 2025 and 145,000 overall for the 2025.

They now sell 10 models, 4 Chevy, 2 GMC and 4 Cadillac. The LYRIQ is third in sales behind the Equinox and the Blazer. With the new Bolt coming out next year starting at under $30,000 it will likely supplant the Equinox which is now about 1/3 of all sales.

What surprised me is the Hummer Pickup is number 4 with 13,000 sold so far this year. I have yet to see one on the road.

I went to using a USB stick years ago for music. Much easier to update and no fumbling with CDs while driving. Most systems handle them very well although each has its oddities.

For the most part anymore though I listen to audiobooks so either from my phone or a native app in the car.

Yea, it's really not that big a deal. I can't remember last time I listened to music in one of the cars. My wife and I went 3 days each way to Austin last year and never turned the radio on once. But I do enjoy downloading the podcasts of my favorite radio talk show from the Bay Area from time to time. Now I have 2 vehicles that can connect to my phone.
