2 door Polara. That is the bee's knees.
My dad got a used 64 Savoy with the push buttons. Was a base model with 4 doors and 318.

Push button autos make sense. Don't need levers sticking out all over the place to pick a gear.
Should be common practice by now, but no. Gotta have a shift lever or get the F out!

Bought it for $300 in 1976, drove it for about 18 months (junior and senior year in high school). Sold it to $500 because I need a bigger car for going to college. Got a '65 Ford Falcon wagon.

100% on the push buttons. The current model Suburbans have push button transmissions. I almost bought one just because of that!

I don’t think I shared this on here. Earlier this year my very first car came up for sale. That very rare 1969 Chevelle SS 396 with its factory authorized, dealer installed 425 hp 427!
It seems the original owner tracked it down in the 1990’s and did a full nut and bolt restoration. New floors, trunk, rear quarter panels, fuel tank, brakes engine, transmission rebuild, the works! He put it back to as it was when delivered complete with the 396 emblems. He later changed them to 427. The only thing he added was the optional steering wheel. He left the Hurst T handle that had been on the car since 1970.
He passed away in 2018 and as far as I can tell the car sat in storage for years. His son tells me that it was taken out a driven a couple of times a year and that the oil was changed yearly by the mechanic that worked on the car.
Anyway, the son is not into cars and doesn’t drive stick so he was putting up for sale.
Needless to say, I would have to take out two mortgages to afford it now. But at least I have great photos of the car and got to talk the owner’s son about his father and the car.

One of my favourite cars as a teen. 1975 XB Ford Falcon(Fairmont). Same model as Original Mad Max/ The road warriors original pursuit cars. Had fun parked outside the Theater when the movie was first released. 302 Cleveland V8,LSD,Modified heads,extractors,mild cam and a Holley spreadbore 650 4BL vacuum secondaries. A real drifter in todays terms. I wasn`t bad with a spraygun and some acrylic paint.

Nice on both counts!

I wasn't thinking about my pedal car. I didn't have a self built one but I did have a Ford Tractor and a BelAir looking pedal car. Don't have any pictures though.

I remember when old man Johnson taught me how to drive his model T. I was the only kid in the neighborhood that would go over and talk to him. I think he loved teaching me, as much as I loved learning, but he really loved me driving him around the neighborhood. He was going blind. Super nice old widower.

I have another hand surgery on Thursday. I'm beginning to lose count on how many I've had.

Don't you hate it when the tire on the wheel barrow is always flat. I watched a couple of Youtubers use spray foam for a "permanent" repair. I haven't load tested yet but it looks good so far.

Now, if i can only get this s##t off of my hands. Yes, I should have worn gloves and yes, the wife already told me that. I've tried Gojo, Goo Be Gone, brake cleaner, gasoline, paint thinner, Soft Scrub, Dawn and Dawn concentrate, and regular soap. 400 grit sandpaper is next.

I just buy solid tires for the wheelbarrow.

Usually brake clean or acetone works for me to get foam off.

I would try brake cleaner and a stiff brush. Some gritty, abrasive hand soap might work as well.

Last weekend - not this just past weekend - I spent the weekend in the ER of the local hospital. I was woken up at 0600 on Saturday with horrible stomach/ bowel pains, along with non-stop dry heaves. The night before I ate some weird tasting Thai food (ain't it all weird tasting though?) No I didn't get it off a food truck.

So, I chugged down a bunch of pepto, Alka-Seltzer and gas-ex. Nope no relief, so after a couple of hours I woke mrs humfrz up to run me down to the ER. Nope, she was not happy about that -

After a couple of hours, they did all kinds of tests and couldn't figure out what was wrong. Meanwhile, they drugged me to the point I was feeling no pain. I insisted they allow me to go home. This was about 2 PM. I went home and slept for about 2 hours (till the drugs wore off) and woke up feeling worse.

At about 6 PM , back to the ER. This time they admitted me, drugged me back up and I slept (so to speak). The next day (Sunday) late afternoon they said they would release me if I could fart and poop - which I did.

Lessons learned - do not be too anxious to leave the hospital - and DO NOT eat Thai food if it taste-smells bad.

After about a week - I feel OK now.
