It's hard to tell in your data there, but the pressure drops I had with my car were all off throttle and immediately recovered upon picking up the throttle. Try toggling on throttle position.

Pretty much every car I've tracked before would drop pressure under this situation, I think worrying about it is mostly a case of fragile FA20 view haha

I think you hit the nail on the head, the dip does occur as I come off throttle and transition to braking, thus the RPM drops. Even a throttle blip to rev match and it comes back up.
It's not that low, lower RPM and no load so...

Went up to BIR for some Sunday fun. Overall ok, the car was obviously faster than last time I was there (by almost 3 seconds iirc) but the track didn't feel very grippy. In the afternoon was a standing start time attack. There were a bunch of ClubTR cars there to compare to. I got 3rd in my class but definitely felt I left some time on the table, especially in turn 3, for whatever reason I don't do a good job of blending the braking zone into the turn. Honestly, I think I just need to make more events and drive more.

On the last session of the day I came out of turn 3 and had what I thought was a nasty misfire which was getting worse. Not wanting to oil the track, just in case, I pulled off and got the tow of shame. Ecu showed codes for cam sensor so I had hope it was going to be something simple.

As I started to investigate I quickly started to realize it was a little more terminal

I'm pretty sure that valve is in the wrong place.

Modified low compression piston.

Right now it's hard to attribute the failure to anything. Oil Pressure looked good, Lambda looked ok, the timing is still on.
The engine was of unknown history....it could just be back luck and a valve broke.
I'll tear it down eventually to see if there are any more bread crumbs.
For now, fingers crossed that the cams and oil pump survived so I can put them on the new motor.
I had one more event planned but with upcoming travel, I think it's pretty unlikely I'll make it.

I pulled the cams to see if I could re-use them and found this, the roller fractured and fell off. I don't know if this a cause or result, but kinda crazy either way.

While I can't drive the car I may as well work on it. I pulled about 21 lbs of random crap out.

I'm not sure if I ever posted an image of the modified s2000 header. It's not pretty but it works. It's also heavy AF, but probably won't ever crack. It also allows me to run the factory heat shields and didn't require me to clearance the engine bay to fit.

I didn't really explain earlier but I chose to stay with the same exhaust design philosophy as the OEM FRS, which is to say, the exhaust is more or less rigidly mounted up to the end of the transmission where there is a flexing donut joint. Kpower chose to use a traditional exhaust hanger at the transmission mounting point (I don't know if they maintain the donut joint but it doesn't look like it) and I have to wonder if this contributes to the exhaust failures people are seeing. I also added a bracket that mounts between the header and adapter plate. I noticed that the stock k24a also incorporates a exhaust manifold brace.

It's been a bit so I figured I'd update. I got the new motor in this spring and all it well again. While I was working on it I added a couple minor items.

I also picked up an AIM Smartycam3 and have had nothing but issues with it. I just cannot get it to start recording on it's own. Super frustrating given is supposed to be plug and play.

Switched from 255 RE71RS to 245 RE71RS. In the case of the Bridgestones, the 245 is the same tread width but shorter and lighter.

I made a bracket off the back of the valve cover to help stabilize the wiring harness.

Given the issues others have had with the shift linkage I finally got around to modifying the stock linkage. The picture kinda makes the pins look crooked but I promise it's straight. Is my welding garbage, yes. Has it survived 5 days of track time, also yes. The pins are also not as offset as the Kpower linkage in it's flipped state.

I noticed there was some contact between the oil pan and subframe so I made some more room.

The silver bolts bothered me way more than they should have so I swapped them out for black bolts.

Funny enough, the only part of the exhaust I didn't make, broke. The HKS exhaust cracked at the Helmholtz resonator.

Finally gave in and installed an aftermarket steering wheel.

Thought this was a cool picture

Sorry to hear that. I’m always recommending a smarty cam. You’re welcome to ping me I would be happy to double check your settings. There is also a Facebook group I can send your way. Aim support is usually pretty good as well
