Kind of reminds me of a BRZ with an intake tube run to the passenger compartment or engine sounds being piped in through the speakers...

Car looks great as is, I don't know why they felt the need to do that

I think it's fine, as long as it can be disabled. That way those that like the noise can have it and those that prefer a quiet car get what they want.

That was one of the things i removed from the engine bay, sheds a couple pounds, looks cleaner and leaves you more room in there as well.

The noise is only on when you are in Track or Drag mode.

It all started back in the day when we would just go UNN-UNN-UNN on our tricycles.

THEN, we would put playing cards in the spokes of our bicycles.

We advanced by placing those sound generators in the cigarette lighter plugs of cars to emulate V-8 sounds.

Ain't nutten new -

Haha my man, my boys and me would use crushed or cut up empty cartons of tea between our spokes too if we didn't have a card on hand, they worked too. Man i miss the late 80s and 90s. These kids today don't even know the blast older generations had growing up. I think us millennials(don't know what Gen u are) are the last Gen who really had fun growing up.

I am of the "silent generation".

Yep, back on the farm, it was mostly work and very little play. We were "silent" as kids, because, if you opened your mouth, you just got more work to do.

Awe man i'm sorry to hear that, but on the flip side it probably gave you a serious work ethic?

My childhood was similar to @humfrz with both a farm and a family roofing company.

Honestly though, I didn't know better so it was fine. We got plenty of "playtime" in during the cracks and with only two TV channels and no electronics what else were you going to do?

What I did was I became a "joiner". I was in probably ever activity, club, etc after school that I could possibly be in. This made for less work and more play.

I thought the engine sound on the Dodge EV was only heard inside the car in sport mode.
You want a laugh watch this podcast on a guy getting three tickets with his EV.
