A Fordson, that's an old tractor. Did you notice what the other was?

Not really. But my next door neighbor growing up was a tractor collector and had maybe 200 tractors. He had mostly John Deere and Massey Ferguson and I remember the Masseys always being red.

I don't think so. Doesn't have the emblems (most massey had painted/sticker emblems) on side, but I'm not a tractor expert, enthusiast. The lean of the grill really makes me wonder.

I only like the Porsche and Lamborghini tractors. The only ones I would buy, if I had a farm.

JD, can you find these and take more pictures. They have to be near your house.

My mother was raised on a turn of the century (20th that is) farm. They didn’t have electricity or indoor plumbing until she was about 15.
I grew up in a rural area that once was prime farm land. In fact the public school I attended was bordered on three sides by fields for a huge dairy farm. We had a 1 acre lot bordered by fruit trees that my mother grew most of our produce on. When I was very young my brother would borrow our neighbor’s tractor to plow, cultivate and harrow with. My sister married a farm boy turned school teacher turned accountant who brought his own tractor to the marriage. I was about 11 when I learned how to crank start and operate it. From then until my sister and family moved away in the 1980’s I was mom’s ploughboy.
Now for the past 37+ years we’ve lived just 5 minutes form Farmtown Park home of the Hastings County Museum of Agricultural Heritage in Stirling, Ontario. Amongst its many displays is one building dedicated to tractors. With room for about 40 they draw from a club membership which has over 300 vintage tractors. So each season there is a new display to enjoy.

They have left their telltale oily puddles.. Will keep an eye open, take better photos next time.

BTW, the Fordson shows up as registered in 1948..

Did a quick image search, its telling me its a David Brown Cropmaster.. Yep it's "that" David Brown.
