Got a company coming out to give me a quote for updating/upgrading the insulation in the house. It doesn't seem to be cooling as well as in years past, so I had the service company come out last week (they service the unit twice a year once for AC once for heat, want it to last as long as possible)! But even with it being 92° outside, the air out of the vents was 60°.
The house also has cathedral ceilings in a lot of sq ft of the house, no idea how well/poorly that's insulated.

POS ceiling fan broke the mount and was hanging by the wires. Asked the landlord if it would be ok if I just replaced it rather than having her send someone out. Now knowing what this entailed, I should have just asked them to handle it.
The electrical box was not rated for a fan nor was it installed in a way that would support one. Surprised it didn't fall sooner. Got all the supplies and hardware yesterday. Dreading going up in the attic to complete the job. |

Moved into my condo well over a year and a half ago and finally got around to filling these huge holes from wall anchors,in my bedroom. The previous owner left some paint,so I think I'll paint over them this weekend.

Walls are gone. So awesome!
![]() Having an electrician coming to clean up some electrical, then drywall repair and paint, and some new blinds. Then down the road do the floor, a work bench cabinet setup, and maybe a lift. |
