Snout drags

I'm about to put the third new splash guard on this #$%&^^&*&*()(. Maybe better drivers than I can keep it off the low spots but not me. It even scrapes sometimes at just dips at intersections. I think somebody makes a metal one and I've seen pictures of it, but I can't find it now. does anybody know where I might find that?

What is a snout and what is a splash guard? And what kind of springs do you have that lowers our car so low as to make it undrivable on average roads? I have the Eibach Pro-Kit springs that lower me a bit, but I never bottom out. Except for one spot that I know to avoid. So, what do you do about speed bumps? Do you get high centered and stuck? That would be embarrassing at the least.

I have never heard anyone refer to it this way, but I think they are talking about the nose or front lip of the car.

A dogs "nose" area is sometimes referred to as a snout so I get what the jist is but man, wat...?

The splash guard is the fiberglass cover that extends from the cowl back to frame member. I should have been more specific. I have stock suspension. I'm pretty good about not running up over curbs in parking spaces, but I do use handicap spots and in this town they have an ugly habit of putting an extra curb a couple feet further into the parking space and it's often very hard to judge where to stop. you can't judge by the car next to you, often because that car has a couple feet more space before hitting the curb. There's an intersection near my house that has a fairly sharp dip, and if I don't slow almost to a crawl, the cowl will scrape.

The splash guard I just ordered is $147. They used to be about 35.

I go over speed bumps at an angle and slowly.

Oh, now I understand. You're running into the parking stops. I got this thing from ebay shortly after buying the car. I hated those fang things on the front bumper. I had a semi-permanent bruise on my ankle from walking into those things in the garage. It's saved me more than a few times hitting those curbs. It's made out of polyurethane and practically indestructible. It's about 12 years old and still looks like new except for a few scratches underneath. Turns out to be one of my favorite mods.

I think it's this one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/39168238914...Bk9SR464zOX2ZQ
But I'm not sure. They have a lot of styles to choose from.
